In this case, the two sections would be part of the same paragraph or just one paragraph in between other parts of the essay.The most common type of transition is the exclamation point. Just a little note here, because sometimes this will actually be mistaken for a question mark, this is not the same thing.Another type of transition would be to begin a paragraph with a single comma.
